Eid Announcement
Eid will be either on Wednesday or Thursday inshaaAllah. Based on scientific data, it is highly likely that the moon will be sighted tomorrow and Eid will be on Wednesday, inshaaAllah. However, the results of moonsighting in North America will be posted tomorrow evening on UtahMuslims.com and other social media accounts, inshaaAllah.

Eid Prayer
Please note that there will be three separate Eid prayers at Khadeeja Islamic Center.

Prayer 1 – 7:30am
Prayer 2 – 8:30am
Prayer 3 – 9:30am

Zakat ul Fitr
Zakat ul Fitr is $15/person and is due before Eid. It is our recommendation to find needy people to give your zakat to. If you can not, you may use the Zakat button on UtahMuslims.com to pay it. Please do not use any Masjid Expenses buttons for Zakat.

New Jumah Prayer Timings

1st Prayer:
English Speech: 1:15 PM
Arabic Khutbah: 1:40 PM

2nd Prayer:
Arabic Khutbah: 2:30 PM

Performing the first prayer 15 minutes earlier will allow the musalleen attending the 1st prayer to leave before those attending the 2nd prayer begin to arrive. Thank you for your patience with us as we perfect these timings, inshaAllah.

To accommodate the increasing number of attendees, Khadeeja Islamic Center will commence conducting two Jumah prayers beginning tomorrow (3/15) inshaaAllah.

Prayer 1:
1:30 pm to 2:15 pm
English speech & Arabic khutbah

Prayer 2:
2:30 pm to 2:45 pm
Arabic Khutbah only

Since there were no official moon-sighting reports from anywhere in North America, we will complete 30 Days of Shaban and first day of Ramadan will be Tuesday, March 12. Taraweeh will begin Monday night, March 11, after Isha.

Isha is at 9 PM at Khadeeja Islamic Center and 8:45 PM at Masjid Al-Noor inshaaAllah.

This year, ISGSL has decided not to host a Community Iftar event. Instead, we will be donating the funds to Gaza to support our brothers and sister there in breaking their fast. You may also contribute using the link below.
